Is anyone a member of the gym, Planet Fitness?

If so, have you or anyone you know been harassed by members of their staff for minor offenses such as grunting or carrying your gym bag on the floor with you?

1. Not a member, but I hear a lot of this. Even to the fact of people getting kick out of their gyms. I train at home, so I dont have this problem, LOL Joe F fitfranco.com
2. I have a friend that works there and I have been several times. Not once have I seen the "grunter" get talked to but they tend to get a lot of dirty looks from most everyone, particularly when the weight isn't all that heavy. As for gym bags on the floor, it's mostly policy. I belong to Ballys, Golds, World Gym and Urban Active Fitness...all have a "no gym bag" onthe floor policy because if a patron fall, it's a general liability suit for them, not you. All of these places have a spot on the floor AND a locker room to put your stuff away. Finally, I also belong to Old School Gym which is a privately owned gym instead of a major chain. The weight are 1970's style steel, its hot, there are bags everywhere and grunting...sometimes even screaming heard REGULARLY. This is a big boy gym with real toys, real sweat and blood and tears...I love it too but it ain't pretty and no one cares what you say or where you put your stuff, just how much you lift or press is important. Find another gyn if they hound you and you don't like it.
