group fitness instructor certification?
I'd like to get a job as a group fitness instructor teaching cardio-based kickboxing classes. Can someone give me details on the pros and cons of different kinds of certifications? I've read a little on the internet, but want some "real-world" and "practical" advice. I'm leaning towards ACE, but there are so many of them out there. At this point, I'm more interested in teaching classes than I am in personal training. Thank you.

- Part of it depends on where you plan to teach when you are done. I know most gyms like to see NASM fitness trainer certification. They are very focused on complete sports medicine training, though you'd need to ask them if they have programs specifically for group classes. I can't imagine it makes a difference, but I couldn't say. I hope that helps - good luck!
