Does going to gyms increase your chances of getting sick?
All the other people germs/perspiring, breathing in the same air in the closed room, etc etc etc? I fear going to gyms because of all the germs that you can potentially be exposed to. Is this safer or less safe than working out/jogging/hiking outdoors? Or does it even remotely make a difference?

- it increases your chances of getting laid.
- Any time you're in a close space with number of other people, you're likely to fall sick. Don't let that stop you, though. People fall sick. So what? People get better in a few days too. It's a part of life. In fact getting sick has it's advantages: Each time you catch a cold you become immune that particular strain, which means, the more often you get sick when you're younger, the less often you'll get sick when you're older.
- It will increase your chances of getting in shape, which will help your immune system work better. Just wash your hands a lot and keep them away from your face & out of your mouth and you should be ok. Going hiking, jogging etc are also good forms of exercise so do whatever you enjoy most. Just be sure you do something! Good luck!
- Most gyms I've belonged to have sanitation stations with those antibacterial wipes, as well as people walking around cleaning equipment. I can't imagine you would be exposed to more germs than being in any other populated area (grocery store, etc) but I'm not sure how it compares to being outdoors. If your area isn't temporate and exercising outdoors throughout the winter is not possible, then going to the gym would improve your immune system b/c you'd be exercising. Unless you have an autoimmune disease or are around people who are medically fragile, your concern about germs may be something you would want to talk to a counselor about. I could be wrong, but it's a suggestion.
